Kerry / Hans Moleman '04

Dick Gephart is the kind of unexceptional drone who has never really understood the difference between just hanging in there like the guest-who-wouldn't-leave and acheiving any real distinction. I wish he would get out of politics, because he is such a bland cardboard cut-out. Instead, now it seems he may be Kerry's VP running mate.

Why John, WHY?

You'd hope that Kerry would treat this as an example of how he'd lead if elected, not talk up the imaginary quailites of some milquetoast. Noone has ever benefited from association with Dick Gephart. If Kerry just wanted to shoot himself in the foot, why not pull Walter Mondale out of mothballs?

john, john, john,

you really ought to take the day off, and go to the beach.

grab a copy of people magazine, read about britney's knee brace, and look up to the sky. with the clouds as your guide, imagine how she'll look in 6 weeks of limited motion/excessive ice cream sundaes.

Dick Gephardt is not a bad choice - don't disregard his experience, as well as his ability to communicate. This man has been in Washington since Reagan, and has a lot of friends who will support that ticket.

Plus, there is nothing to these rumors yet - Edwards is my odds on favorite, if Kerry has the balls to ask him. Wes Clark is looking to be in the Cabinet as well, Secretary of Defense, perhaps even Sec of State. I think that the Kerry campaign is trying to cover all the bases. Hans would be better than the current VP, though.

Go relax - November is a long way off
