Renowned phyicist Stephen Hawking has announced that he was wrong about things escaping black holes and stuff.

I saw him give a lecture at the Arie Crown theater back in 98... I remember it was really inspiring but I can't tell you a thing he said now. The problem with theoretical physics is that you can follow it for the first 3 minutes then it devolves into hair-splitting over bizarre unprovable assumptions. For all I know his new idea may be that Black Holes are full of chocolate cake... It would be just as feasible to try and follow that line of reasoning.
