Is Bush Wired?

You know, at first I kind of laughed this off, but I also noticed that bulge in Bush's jacket and kinda wondered what that was.

He's not wired silly, he's a evil ROBOT!!!!

We have it on good authority that he's wearing body armor- an advanced composite of kevlar.

Secret Squirrel 06 Oct 2004

What is going down?

I saw Bushe's physical reaction "live" to someone talking in his ear...

The question is: Can a president resist handling, in the age of media technology and manipulation?

What a scam!!!
We can see this dooood sucking and blowing his way through the democratic process.

Give us a break.

Get an expert. Not a brunch lizard.

Did anyone notice the flesh colored wire bush was wearing during this latest debate, it was hard to see, but at some angles it was undeniable.

Bush lost big time! We must all vote him out of office. I wonder why the prison scandal has not come up yet. Not that there isn't already an overwhelming amount of info that points to his ignorance. Make sure you register to vote. Lets send a clear message that we are not fooled by the spin.

When contemplating if President George W. Bush was wired to receive communications throughout the October 5th debate, one must consider three things:
1) photographs and videotape, 2) length of response and, 3) the rules of the debate.

As one who works backstage on theatrical productions, I noticed the box-like bulge under his jacket between the shoulder blades. At the time I didn’t give it much thought, but in retrospect it looked very similar to what would be a bulge caused by a wireless microphone pack, such as those used in theatrical musicals.

I noticed, too, that throughout the debate President Bush often began his answer with a pause. Was it to collect his thoughts, or to receive a line?

Finally, the debate rules themselves may have been crafted to avoid revealing concealed mic packs. Whereas, Section 9, Article vi of the staging rules state: “The camera located at the rear of the stage shall be used only to take shots of the moderator.”

A thorough review of the previous debate tapes, and assurances that our President shall speak for himself at the concluding debate are, I think, in order.

I'm still checking for those black helicopters! All you liberal demacraps have are conspiracy theories! Good luck with accepting the truth and waiting another four years to prop up some other stiff who has a plan, but just can't tell us what it is!

peter 09 Oct 2004

i thought there was something incredibly shrewd about his answers. is that karl rove in your pocket or are you happy to see me?

amphigorist 09 Oct 2004

I think Bush was wearing a transmitter under his jacket in the 2nd debate. The NY Times today had a photo of Bush from the rear in debate 1, showing a mysterious , umistakable, rectangular-shaped box under his jacket between his shoulder blades. Knowing that debate 2 would be a town hall forum, the transmitter had to be hidden. I believe in debate 2 it was hidden at his waist under the first button of his suit. In a profile view, his jacket sticks out further under the first button, which is unusual. Bush looked thick in the waist as compared to how he usually looks. When he stands up to talk, he has a bulge there that becomes evident as he walks and raises his arms. It looks as if the rectangular box was padded on the sides to make the shape look more natural. I think he is also wearing an unusually long tie. That can be seen when he sits. The creases in the front of his jacket to the sides of the bulge are not what is typically seen when a man wears a suit. Also, his jacket looks baggy over his butt. He figured that someone might feel the transmitter if he put it on his back, so he put it on his stomach. Could this transmitter be responsible for his improved performance in the 2nd debate?

At the first debate, did the candidates go back stage before greeting people? Could the transmitter have been removed before he emerged?

jane wilson 09 Oct 2004

I think it was a device secretly applied to Bush forcing, by psych-beams, Kerry to continually change his mind and say one thing after another which is different from the last thing- the device isn't for BUSH, its for KERRY- who implanted it? Why, Hillery, of course- Just paving the way for a great race in '08--- c'mon you democrats, face up to da truth- Kerry is a great boring hump of a clod and is doomed- the only question I have is whether J. Edwards is going to bitch slap Hillery and try to take away the nomination in 08... its a foregone conclusion in the election that the bushman is going to win- oil over ketchup, real men over wimps, bush beats kerry and kerry gets kicked off the plane by theresa. i predict divorce for john and bill and a gay marriage between the dynamic dykes....

Bosco 09 Oct 2004

bush has trouble remembering what words mean during his speaches. it would make great reason for the repub party to have him wired so they could keep him in order with faxs. i have noticed that he often right notes when kerry is speaking. i do not think he can remember very long, maybe he has a little drink before the program.

roger 09 Oct 2004

I don't know if he was wired. . . but I do know this. Undecided voters need only consider the two candidates carefully, and then pick the smart one.

I personally am more worred about the intelligence of half the citizens in this country if half the voters really do believe Bush is the better candidate. Give me a break.

Donna

Donna 09 Oct 2004

It matters little. Neither candidate was impressive. Both are concentrating more on form than substance. Watching the old Nixon / Kennedy debates, clearly demonstrates how much we have regressed. It is insulting to the public that we are presumed to be so dumbed down that this apeals to us.

svc 09 Oct 2004

Are any of you really surprised that he'd wear a wire? The man can't speak in full sentences and doesn't have two brain cells to rub together. What else was he going to do? The scary part is that half the country actually thinks the idiot is the better candidate. Wake up people!

Dina 09 Oct 2004

IMO, Donna has nailed the bigger pic here.

As for the shrubber being wired, sure seems plausible and would help explain his halting start/stop speech pattern of debate 1, State of the Union 04, and other speeches on the international stage.

rastaman 09 Oct 2004

GEORGE W. BUSH IS A MORON. The man can't even communicate his ideas in a cohesive manner - how the hell is he going to counter against Kerry without the help of his advisors and minions. This is the man who has lied to his country in order to wage a war for personal gain and endanger the lives and rights of the American people.

Hello, I taped the Fox TV news segment of Bush and Jacques Chirac meeting June 5, 2004 in Paris.

The tape clearly shows that Bush uses an ear promptor because you can hear the promptors voice being broadcast all over the room. The technical glitch made it such that you hear what Bush will say .. before he says it.

I have the video posted on www.philbrittin.com

I havent reviewed the tapes but there is credibility to these statements because major news companys are showing pictures of the alleged wireing (BBC-chec website).

Personally im wouldnt be suprised if it turned out to be a wire, just dubbyas style

Muce 10 Oct 2004

Leave the poor man alone, so what he cant construct a full sentance, and he lied into going to war for his own gain. Ans that over one thousand people have died (american casualties). And that he is invading a country half way around the world, with poor security information. People make mistakes and we cant all be perfect in all fields. Let him have 5 more years maybe, just maybe we all could be fighting a war in korea and Iran. I cant wait to gain a serious realationship and have a child and bring in into the world of death and destruction. What a man. What a MAN

David Barnes 10 Oct 2004

On the June 5 segment in Paris -- the earpiece was a required item because Bush doesn't speak French (translator required). Chiraque had one too (surprise). Notice how Bush had to keep readusting it? I heard the echo too, but it was just an audio glitch (2 audio exact audio streams). In it you can clearly hear the audience member question, then you hear it again. Did the audience member have a wire feeding him the question? Uh, no.

Adam Holmann 10 Oct 2004

I have downloaded the video...
Why do the girl ( in the end of the tape) can translate Chirac words in english 3 seconds BEFORE he has prununced those words in French ? (i'm french so i can traduce )

so :
- perhaps that video is a fake (first time i hear about it)
- perhaps the Fox tape was not really in live but broadcasted few seconds latter.
- many other explanations

Volcae 10 Oct 2004

Dude. This video is stupid. ALL of the reporters' questions can be heard in that weird distorted "pre-speak"--it probably was just a glitch in the functioning of the delay that all the networks now use because of JJ's nipple at the Super Bowl.

Maxwell H. 10 Oct 2004

hi there,

Im german and i just wanted to tell you: please make sure bush doesn`t get re-elected, actually not only the americans should have the right to vote the us president because it concerns you just like every other individual on the planet.
who knows what country Mr. Bush would like to attack next, based on lies and breaking international laws ?
and then, when it`s clear his reasons were wrong, he just invents others....but how can somebody bring freedom and democracy to another country who himself only got to power through voterfraud ?
if Mr. Bush chooses not to sign the kyoto protocol, doesn`t that have influence on the environment all over the world ?

i have really good friends in the usa and its hard to convince people over here that the us isn`t just a country of arrogant ("gods own country...") stupid patriots but a country of people who actually care about what their politicians do.

i live in Berlin which is the capital of Germany and my country owes the us so much, like democracy, peace and prosperity. but right everyone over here is asking themselves if the values you are so proud of- freedom, equality, democracy- are still up to date and not only a thing you write on your walls.
and im not one of those anti-americans who believe that you can compare bush to hitler or saddam hussein, im just a little scared of the direction us foreign policy took after 9/11.
mybe bushs way of thinking is not very smart: Lets kill all the evil ones so only the nice people will remain.
maybe if an airplane drops a bomb into a wedding innocent people die...i mean imagine somebody would kill YOUR family, wouldn`t you do everything you could to take revenge, even suicidal attacks ?
i just believe these are things one should give a thought, the use of military is- of course- unavoidable sometimes.

well, thanks for reading this, maybe its not of my concern and should just wait for the american vote to come, but at least I was able to express my opinion....

Go look at this photo. What more do you need?

Not only is he stupid, he is dishonest. Would Christ wear a wire?

I want my country back... 10 Oct 2004

I think the Bush bulge between the shoulder blades is a "battery" pack. We can't send this puppet president out in the limelight with "Rove"-ing marinet strings for all to see. Battery-powered Bush is the only explanation. BTW, the scariest thing I have read on this blog is the retentive, recalicitrant neocons who have no grip on reality and so rely heavily on smear and smudge as if it is some sort of platform for America. Get a life...and end it.

RL 10 Oct 2004

I think we live in a country today that has so thoroughly trained Americans to think emotionally and not rationally that we sadly will see BUSH relected. The fictional character Forrest Gump is brighter and far more articulate BUT because people can "RELATE" TO BUSH they will relect him because-they can imagine shopping the isles of Walmart and eating corndogs with him.
DOES ANYONE REMEMEBER THE HOOPLA AMERICANS FACED WITH "NEW COCA COLA"? Americans cared more then! They fought bitterly about it-it was all over the media! WHO IS EVER SUPRISED by the morons that live in this country? Of course they will relelect him. BECAUSE IT'S EASIER. WHO CARES IF HE LIES-HE'S LIKABLE! WHO CARES IF HE IS STUPID-HE IS STRONG (SO IS HULK HOGAN? SHOULD HE BE PREZ?) WHO CARES IF BUSH DID COKE> BILL CLINTON SMOKED POT? (And somehow that was worse?) Who cares if Laura Bush sold drugs? She was just paying for College after all-how Entreprenureal!! Who cares if GW really sent 1000 men and women to die in Iraq JUST BECAUSE Saddam attacked his own father-HOW QUICKLY WE FORGET!!!
As long as WE keep training Americans to forsake independent thought and true critical thinking we will have leaders like BUSH. We live in a country where Jerry Springer is POPULAR and considered good television-we invented the Soap Opera and people actually believe this is a realistic scenario of everyday life and we wonder why divorces are 60% now. Here in American We watch people eat maggotts and whipped cream on Survivor? We are not intelligent anymore-we are just bags of breathing corpuscles that buy tons of mass-marketed merchandise and as long as we can do that-we will always pick the poorer candidate. We don't care anymore-we don't think anymore and now IDIOTS COMPRISE GREATER THAN 50% of the country when before idiots were a small fraction of the population. DOES ANYONE UNDERSTAND OR AGREE-WE ARE GOING TO HELL IN AN ARMANI HANDBASKET WITH SAGE GREEN STRAPS?

Xman 10 Oct 2004

In response to Maxwell's take on the "pre-speak" video, I agreed with you at first. However, Bush stumbles over his words a few times (look about 10 seconds in) where the other voice does not. If anyone else has a take on this I'd love to hear it.

Possible the tape is fake altogether.

Dan 10 Oct 2004

I think Bush used old James Bond style transmitter. He should have used at least AAA size battery pack. I wonder why his aids suggested D/C Battery pack they are bulky.

I hope he uses smaller size batteries in his next debate. So that he doesn't embarrass his supporters.

kaka 10 Oct 2004

Let's be realistic. Given the Mr. Bush's mental capacity, it is only fair for him to be "wired" during a debate. The rules should certainly allow him to receive his answers from an outside source, much as he does on a daily basis at work. Why place him at a disadvantage just because his in a debate? Mr. Kerry should be prohibited from being prompted or "wired".

Jack 10 Oct 2004

PROOF that Bush was not weired on the fox video tape. Let's listen the begining on the tape :

00:10 : voice
00:14 : bush
" And I look forward to working with President Chirac to achieve that objective"

Bush cannot manage to pronounce properly that sentence, and the voice - which look like bush voice - makes exactly the SAME pronunciation mistake.
This proves that, owing to a technical problem, the voice we heard is the Bush one with 4 seconds of advance.

Volcae 10 Oct 2004

The morons who keep posting that Bush was wearing a vest should be aware that the White House has specifically said that he WAS NOT.

mci mci 10 Oct 2004

oh.. so the white house laughs it off and says he "WAS NOT" then of course. they wouldnt lie abotu that would they. what are they goign to say. "well yeah ok ok you got us... he was wired to help him respond" if you think the whole world and everything that goes on is todl to you freely on the evening news grow up. there are such deep rooted plots bheind so much... there has been huindreds and hundreds of years to put in place corruption. hell curruption evolves in only 3 weeks on survivor... now lets take that and go 300 years back in US history.

The image from the second debate at http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/041009/480/pd13510090242 (posted earlier) clearly shows the same bulge. I'm guessing it presses against his spine to carry the sound through his bones to his inner ear. (The Sharper Image used to sell a radio that hung around your neck and transmitted the sound the same way.) Let's hope someone with a scanner sits outside the final debate and catches some interesting chatter!

Edtekker 10 Oct 2004

This is what to expect from John Kerry and friends. Remember back lets say 1979? Yes the old Jimmy Carter era. Jimmy Carter is was a "intellectual" president. Very similar to the intelligent John Kerry. Eastern Europe was under the tight grip of the USSR and Iran had American hostages whose fate surely would have been death if Reagan had not gotten elected. The state of the US military was grim, morale nationally was very low. Carter, although a great man was a weak leader. Elect John Kerry and you will have the same, a weak spineless leader with a flawed vision of world peace. Now is not the time to elect a leader who will ask the UN permission before we go to war. The US needs to finish the war on terror with or without the rest of the world. PS Before you call me a right wing zealot. I voted for Gore in 2000.

Thanks Reagan 10 Oct 2004

Bush stumbled for quiet of couple of seconds (see http://www.comedycentral.com/tv_shows/thedailyshowwithjonstewart/videos_headlines.jhtml), now replay the vedio, you can tell that he was listening the wired message.

claireub 10 Oct 2004

does anyone possibly think it might be a kevlar vest???? Since the President is an obvious target, perhaps the 'bulge' is the clasp of a bulletproof vest???? The level of paranoia at this site astounds me. Usually, the simplest explanation is the correct explanation.

I would expect liberals to a least think and reason for themselves. I guess it is easier and more politically expedient to jump on the bandwagon.

fuesto 10 Oct 2004

What a bunch of morons. Todays transmitters/receivers are smaller than a dime. Gee Whizz... think for your selves once in a while,

Or do you think he borrowed the transmitter from a visiting alien from the planet Xircon?

warthog 10 Oct 2004

I think he was wired. Check out these URLs -

http://nyc.indymedia.org/newswire/display/125456/index.php

http://www.isbushwired.com/

hannau 10 Oct 2004

The simplest answer is, yes, he was wired to receive communication from off-stage at the first debate, and most likely wired again during the second debate on Friday. His responses and body language looked like they were being coached live. Maybe that helps explain the erratic body movements and speech patterns. At several points during the second debate last Friday he looked like he was being jolted out off his chair. Could this explain why he was almost yelling or shouting his rebuttals as if he wasn't aware the audience and the world could hear him plain as day? The White House may want to deny that Bush was wired, but I think the simplest answer is that he was.

Mark 10 Oct 2004

The people of the United States need to know this. If our President cannot participate in a debate for the people, without being fed his answers, we need to know this. What kind of man have we chosen for our President that he cannot stand on his own words and speak his own words. We are not talking about a speech here, where it could be understandable, no we are talking about a debate.
This issue raises many questions concerning the intelligence and ability of our President to perform his duties. It also raises the question of who really is the President, it is starting to look like it is not Bush, in a very realistic way.
It is looking as if this bunch of men, and we know who they are, picked this man they could control to become president so they could advance their own agendas, and we know what that agenda is.
I think this is the most serious charge yet for the president.
This man who took us to war, was responsible for the deaths of many Americans, to say nothing of the 30,000 plus Iraqies who have thus far paid for the mistakes of this government with their lives.
To all Bush supporters I say, "this will be on your conscience forever, especially if you re-elect him. What will you say to the families who have lost loved ones over a war that did not have to be."
I hope you have an answer for them.
I also hope everyone will see Faranheit 911 where you can see and hear our soldiers as they are screaming in agony after being hit and carried away by their comrades. You can also see and hear Iraq citizens saying how they hate this country for what they have done to them. Pictures of men, women and children, injured beyond recognition and lying along the streets and roads of that country, apparently colleteral damage.
30,000 and counting dead, a President who says things are going well. We have eyes and ears, can we not listen and see the terrible agony that is arising from the country known as Iraq.

Diane 10 Oct 2004

You left-siders have nothing better to do with your time than look at web blogs and make up conspiracy theories. Get a life. Bush will be re-elected in 2004 and it's for the best. Kerry has a plan... What is it...it's...BOGUS! I would fear for all of our lives if John Kerry got elected.

Domocrats are dumb! 10 Oct 2004

In the middle of the debate, a close up shot of The Commander and Thief Bush showed a clear picture of a small box protruding through the back of his jacket. Was it part of a Kevlar vest? I highly doubt and if it is, the Administration needs to give physical proof immediately that it was. Why? Because Bush's chief advisor is Karl Rove and anyone who knows anything about Karl Rove knows that he's not beyond using any means necessary to cheat. If they get on television, show Bush with his jacket off and what was protruding, and it was a communication device, then I digress. It's just the guy lies so much, it's hard to believe anything he says or does...

Greg Randolph 10 Oct 2004

roflmfao. you people aren't very bright. If he was wearing a wire, and was getting help, then why the hell did he get his ass kicked in the debate? im fairly certain the the best and brightest in the republican camp could come up with something stronger in responce than using kerry's own statements against him. Mind you it was like the same 3 so perhaps it was just something reminding hm of those same 3 things repeatedly, since it seemed to be the only thing he said

pyro 10 Oct 2004

To "Domocrats are dumb!": You're obviously doing the same thing when replying to any posting on this blog. You have no clue as to who spends their time blogging or not. Feeble attempt to try and fit a circle into a square peg. Folks like you give America a very bad name.

Mark 10 Oct 2004

He's just a hapless puppet of the plutocracy he serves.

Bush Hired Help, Bush Wired help... just cain't help cheatin'

Jackie 10 Oct 2004

I would not put it past the Republicans to wire Bush for the debates- they would do anything to retain power. The larger picture is they 2 "candidates" are the best this nation could come up with. This is beyond sad.

Libertarian611 10 Oct 2004

In answer to the question about how could he loose the debate:
Well if you listen to the Bush Chirac tape you will see how confusing it is to get words in bites and then having to speak them while others may be adding to words in real time debate, he just can't handle all that is going on in his head. I think in second debate he does a tiny bit better probably due to practicing, but we still saw him search for words and say the wrong things.
I watched him give live stump speech yesterday and at one point he so lost his way he started to jab at paper on podium before coming up with a disjointed sentence.
The words are given to him in 5 or 6 word groups and if anything happens while he dellivers those words he can loose his place with transmitter.

Diane 10 Oct 2004

Bush is a notorious sloucher and in the photo you can see that he's wearing a SHOULDER BRACE to keep him from slouching. I used to wear one myself and recognized it immediately in the picture.

Shoulder braces have straps that go around each shoulder and have an elastic middle that sits between the shoulder blades to pull your shoulders back if you are letting them roll forward. In the photo of Bush you can see the straps going up and around each shoulder as well as the stretched middle of the brace between his shoulder blades (because he is slouching).

There are lots of styles of shoulder braces but you can see more at:

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/back%20brace

Jeff 10 Oct 2004

One more point on the SHOULDER BRACE that Bush was wearing... he isn't the first president to do so. In fact, President Kennedy was wearing a type of back brace when he was shot. Here is more information on that:

http://www.jfklancer.com/medical.html
http://www.jfklancer.com/photos/medical/brace.jpg

Jeff 10 Oct 2004

Another picture of a SHOULDER BRACE:

http://home.earthlink.net/%7Ehalehsd/store/braces/Camp-8057-Back.jpg

Of course Bush is embarassed to admit that he was wearing a shoulder brace, but so what if he does!?! We're all human.

Jeff 10 Oct 2004

Ok... a "shoulder brace." If he in fact was wearing a simple shoulder brace, and not some kind of "cheating device", why would the Bush representatives not mention this when presented with the question regarding the communication box? They said nothing of shoulder brace, they just laughed at the idea of him being wired. Wouldn't they want to tell the public what it really was, to prove them wrong, instead of not tell them anything execpt for that they're wrong?

Antimax 10 Oct 2004

So what if Bush wears a shoulder brace?

Here's why it matters: the doofus can't even tell the truth about a shoulder brace. If that is really what he was wearing, then the response from his handlers was as stupid as it gets. Because now there will be people that think he was wired.

See what lying for a living gets you?

Steve Novak 10 Oct 2004

I can not believe the ignorace that is being displayed here. Do you really think that if Bush was wearing a device that is feeding him answers, he would use a battery pack that would show up under his vest. Technology today would allow him to have a battery pack the size of a watch battery... You democrats are realizing that Kerry is the worst choice you could have made and now you are drowning, grasping for pathetic straws like this one. Please, how incredibly sad you people are.....

Wilma 10 Oct 2004

I dont know if he wears a wire or not - i wouldnt be surprised if he does. Regardless, his ineptness, dishonesty and corruptness are all reasons why he shouldn't receive another four years. He's supposedly 'tough on terror'(at least that is what has been relentlessly pounded into our heads) but was is the definition of being 'tough on terror'? The worse terror attack in the history of our country happened while he was president. He references 9/11 throughout his campaign, one would think 9/11 was a political victory for him instead of one of the worst defeats we've had on American soil . I dont think invading and attacking a basically dormant third-world nation is considered being 'tough on terror'.
I challenge any Bush-supporter to list any positive, concrete thing that Bush has accomplished in his presidency. A few negatives: The deficit: An eight trillion dollar swing with nothing to show for it - except the ultra-rich have more money. The enviornment: He's allowed the ultra-rich companies to rape and pillage our enviornment for financial gain. Our international relations: In shambles. Our jobs: He's allowed and encouraged(through tax breaks) companies to send our jobs overseas. And so on. On every issue the Bush administration has sided with the rich and not the people. I cant understand how someone could be pro-Bush unless he/she is ultra-rich. Just because someone has a good paying job doesn't mean they're rich(they could lose their job just like anyone else). Just because someone considers themselves a Republican doesn't mean Bush cares about them. He's only for the ultra-rich while he seemingly laughs at everyone else. On Nov 2 we can either decide to keep the power in the hands of the ultra-rich or we can decide to put the power in the hands of the people. I'm neither a Republican nor a Democrat.

Cliff 10 Oct 2004

It's amazing how you libs obsess over this crap.
This is 2004, and the president could easily be wired
for sound without some big box conspicuously hidden
square in the middle of his back.
And furthermore, you stupid libs, it would be a
"Receiver"- not a freaking "transmitter", or
"transceiver"…
And the president could get something much more
compact because we don’t use vacuum tubes anymore.
Maybe it was a kilo of cocaine, or maybe he really
is an evil robot, or he's been assimilated into the borg?

I saw the video of wired Bush on "abc' today.

My gosh, I could't believe it. It was so clear - a rectangular box projecting out under his coat/jacket, and a wire from it snaking towards the shoulder. If this is not a listening device, then what is it?

Sharper Image has been marketing a type of headphone to wear around the collar. It sends the sound vibrations to the bones near the neck/shoulder -at least that's what they claimed in their ads.

Was Bush wearing this type of headphone?

It's funny watching the republican folks post here accusing kerry supporters of being desperate. It reminds me of the GOP email I received the day after each debate saying of Bush and Cheney "won" the debates (here I am looking at the online polls, about which I'd received a GOP email the day before instructing me to go vote on the online polls right after the debates, and seeing that Kerry led Bush in the double digits, and Edwards beat Cheney hands down. I keep wondering what planet these repub folks live on, or what dimension. They're created a higher level definition for the term "clueless."

George Bush 10 Oct 2004

haha, holy shit that video clip on www.philbrittin.com is the best thing ever. bush is busted!....again...why is it that the last three republican presidents have been brain dead...mabye it has something to do with the fact every time a thinking man gets that kind of power he can't be controled. You know given the two (well 3 really) current choices i would be comfortable with the president being draw at random form the sane non-D.C. population.

JANE WILDON 11 Oct 2004

Ah HA HAHAHA HAHAHA. Good one Jane - his tie is wired... yeah, right. If he is wired then it would be hidden UNDER his shirt, not sticking out of his tie.

Frankly, if you look closely, you will notice that it's not really W. This man's eyes are dark and mysterious, like those of an impostor. W. was actually hiding in an undisclosed location during the second debate while his body double stood in for him!!! That is why they had that boundary line on the carpet - they didn't want Kerry to find out that he was not really debating W.

Jane - you need to get a life.

Wane Bildon 11 Oct 2004

I want a recount. Unless I win then the system has been cheated. I deserve to lead this country more than any other person. I had to put up with Teresa just to have the cash to run. I have had to suck up to so many people... much more than Bush.

Please vote for me so that I can be the most powerful man in the world. I promise to make sure that I will raise taxes on the rich and give that money to the poor. I am really Robbin' Hood.

Please vote for me. I want to be your President so I can start the draft and get 40,000 more troops to go into Iraq. What? You didn't know I was going to do that? How else did you think I was going to get the extra manpower to do this?

Please vote for me in November so I can run this country. I can do better because I used to drive a boat in Vietnam. I also used to be a lawyer and I am a senator with the most liberal voting record. Yes, indeedy... I am the man. I am the shiz. Bow down to me, you paupers, and I will be your king. I know how to take care of you. I can help you with problems you don't know about. Put me in charge and I'll pull a rabbit out of the hat and make the debt go away while spending all we have on medicare and welfare so the old farts and unemployed people will vote for me. Yes, they know how to pick a president because they're the most productive people in America.

@ peter.

You asked for the plan of mr. Stiff (Kerry, I presume). I ask you for the plan of mr. Smart (Bush, that is). Except for "working hard" and "fighting terrorists", he didn't plan much, did he?

And about fighting those terrorists : Bush didn't stop them at 9/11, and he doesn't stop them now either : Egypt on fire, Americans beheaded, ...

Jolle 11 Oct 2004

It is often heard as a defense for Bush that "a battery of that size is just stupid, they would never do that." A simple search on the web gives us the following "state of the art" :

http://www.comtek.com/IFBCueing/ifbcueing.html

Or :

http://accelerated-promotions.com/consumer-electronics/two-way-radio.htm

Battery is not the only thing that is needed : there is need for a strong antenna, a receiver, a sender and some more electronics to make the thing work. It can thus not be the size of a watch. James Bond is NOT based on a true story.

If Bush was not wired to Karl Rove, it must have been his direct line to GOD

Karin 11 Oct 2004

It make sense that he was wired but I think the analysis has at least part of it backwards. THe wire wasn't working on the first debate--the battery wore out or the connection was broken--that's why the Prez is so discombobulated. In the second debate they corrected the malfunction.

This whole issue deserves serious review and investigation by the major news media. Examine the photos and the film with HD TV. The movement of the jacket around the device should prove out whether something is there or not definitively.

Jay 11 Oct 2004

George Bush could not even testify in front of the 9/11 commission by himself---he had to have Dick Cheney with him---because he does not have a command of the facts and presumably did not want to slip up in front of the panel. Of course he was wired after the first debate---when his advisors realized that he sounded incompetent --even unintelligent in the first debate.

denise 11 Oct 2004

I agree with the previous posts that not enough is being made of this major gaffe (if true) I started a blog at blogspot.com to get more attention focused on this story. If it had been Kerry's bulge the Republican Smear machine would have a 30 second TV spot on the air in Ohio or Iowa in like two minutes. If this story ran for two weeks, it'd be Kerry in a landslide!

Stop by and leave a post at WisforWired.blogspot.com

For as long as Bush has been President, I could always tell when Bush was being fed his lines. Whenever his speech was riddled with awkward pauses intermittently throughout his sentences, slightly turning his head and staring into space as if he was listening to something, it was always obvious to me. Other friends of mine have independently made the same observation and came to the same conclusion. Not to mention, it is clearly a challenge for this man to put a grammatically correct sentence together. He obviously needs all the help he can get. I agree, this is something that should have been addressed a long time ago. This man is a bumbling, stumbling idiot. What a dishonest fool. WHAT AN EMBARRASSMENT!!!

Maximina 11 Oct 2004

On PBS Newshour with Jim Lehrer on Monday, they replayed a segment from the SECOND debate (responses to question on stem cell research). When Bush turned toward Kerry, I could see the boxy bulge in the back of his suit jacket. So, that's debate 1 and debate 2. With all the speculation, he would be crazy to wear a receiver (in that location) for debate 3, but if he doesn't get fed answers, it will probably be evident in his performance. At any rate, the mainstream media won't even touch this story since the White House cleverly responded in such a way as to characterize anyone who asks as "left wing conspiracy theorists." CNN mentioned the speculation briefly in a CNN Headline News report on Sunday, but dropped it like a hot potato after that, as if they were warned "don't go there." All we want is to know WHAT the bulge was and why the RNC insisted on no camera shots from behind the candidates. The public deserves to know whether the president is commiting a fraud on the people or not.

I second previous comment. Wake up America, before it's too late. This whole thing is an extremely dangerous situation and portends badly for the US and our future.
The world is watching and they will think we are all nuts if this man is re-elected.

Diane 12 Oct 2004

With regards to an earlier comment concerning the bush/chirac tape, where you hear a voice reading question after it is spoken by reporter, I think it is Bush's prompter repeating the question into Bush ear, then following with the answer.
Also are some people suggesting this is a new thing, a preplay? Or should I say fore play. So now we have technology that will transmit words before they are spoken. Would this then be thought transmission.
How rediculous

I was an Independant until about 1992 and then I realized I was a Democrat at heart.
If I didn't know it then I would know it now for sure.
The people of the US need to stand up and be counted. We cannot let this go on.
Other than writing to news networks can anyone think of anything else that can be done.
I hope people in other countries will do this also. It is their world too and they need to stand up now. To some extent they have by their protests and their positions but help us now with this.
The world is dying and we have to save it. Armededdon doesn't have to be if we band together as people of this world and do our part.
Just a thought but I don't think the polls are accurate, I think there are far more supporters of Kerry then are reflected in the polls. Read an article about some of the polls are Republican owned. This poll readjustment is another tool of the Republican part.
We need to face the facts that Bush is either very dumb or very smart. Is he on his way to being dictator.
I have to remind you also the Congress is important. We have to put Democrats in, the Republicans control congress now. Watch Cspan and you can see what is going on there.

The world does not hate the American people, on the
contrary. But the world hates the Bushies, which is a big
difference. The world, and in particular the Irakis, remember
the bombing of the Amiriyah shelter in Bagdag by Bush 41
during the golf war. The father and the son should be prosecuted for war crimes. Whether he is wired of not
does not make a whole lot of difference. What is a mystery
to me is how such a wonderful country as yours can have such a pitiful president.

Jean 12 Oct 2004

I have really enjoyed reading all the comments on this site. I agree that this is a very important issue and should be investigated by the media. I remember when presidents were not above reproach and the media was not afraid to ask questions. I am ready to move out of the country if this many Americans are stupid enough to reelect bush. He has been a great destructor, destroying the environment under the guise of pretty names, destroying the union of the American people, destroying our credibility in the world, destroying the lives of those who trusted him to lead them into a worthwhile battle, destroying our security by inflating the threat of another terrorist attack and by creating new enemies, destroying our economy with tax cuts for his buddies and outsourcing jobs. Frankly, I don't see how anyone with half a brain cell could vote for bush and it scares me that the election could be as close as the polls report. There is also the lingering possibility that the election could be again rigged by the republicans and he could steal the presidency twice in a row. It's funny not in a haha way how the people who really need Kerry (anyone who makes under 200,000 a year) will vote for bush so that they can be anti abortion racists. Yet none of them are stepping up to support the welfare babies created by disallowing abortion or thinking about the tens of thousands of lives that the war has cost the world. I am starting to think that you should have to take a test to show that you know what's going on in the world in order to vote. That would eliminate about 99% of bush supporters.

If you think the latest blog war about Bush "wearing a wire" is BS, then watch the Real Player show of the first debate again and tell me that I, a former radio producer, doesn't know what I'm talking about when I say that I have proof herein.

Watch frames 24:38.4 through 24:42.0 closely for the bulge in Bush's back.
As he strains his jacket when he moves his arms, you can see whatever it is that he is wearing there..

If you think that the first one is perhaps a reflection or a bulge, then take a look at the second clip which starts at 32:14.1 and runs through 32:17.0
NOTE: at 32:14.1, look at Bush's LEFT EAR - THERE IS SOMETHING IN THERE!!!
Just a few seconds later Bush talks about a "smoking gun" and turns his head to the left (nothing in his right ear) and then to the right and you can indeed catch the IFB earpiece!

Folks, there are many more examples of this lie that the White House has perpetrated throughout this first debate, so blow the picture up a bit and watch the debate again and you will see the truth - Bush IS a puppet being controlled by Karl Rove!

Obviously, you will need Real Player to see the presentation, but here's the link..

I think we have to start to consider that Bush may be on drugs, legal or illegal.
Just did a search on this topic and came up with interesting info. Below is one site. Seems he blew up at an event in July and ran off the stage in response to a reporter. His Dr. has reportedly given him powerful antidepressents. Do a seach for this and you come up with some interesting info.
That is an even worse possibility than being wired. Insiders seem to be saying their is a seige mentality in whitehouse. No one allowed but inner circle. We have to push this into public view, this is the worst possible senario.
I ask people out there, doesn't he remind you of a bar druggie and alcholic. Mood swings, jaw grinding, agitation, anger, what do you all think.

I think it is important for every person who cares in any country to stand up and be counted.

Karin, Iwould like to communicate more directly with you. Go to this site.
http://peopleforchange.blogspot.com/
That is a blog I created to discuss this issue, and all of these issues. This blog is getting too big.
PS, my ancestry is German have traced my family back to 1200's in what is now Germany. Family came here from 1700's to 1800's.
I too am concerened about the other lives lost in Iraq. I am concerned about everything that is going on over there and elsewhere about the world.
A lot of people in the US think that Bush is just plain wrong, about nearly everything. I would be hard pressed to find something I did agree with.
I call on the whole world to pray with us for this change that we absolutely need. I am praying constantly for the whole world to help us by their prayers.
If you don't believe in prayers then just think the positive thoughts of what change will do. If we all believe it, it will happen.
It appears that only a tiny percentage of the world does not want this change and sadly they are located in the US. People who want change are greater in number than those who don't.
Does anyone think its strange that the bloggers were able to get the story of the bush papers on the media, but this huge story of bush being wired and the worldwide blogs on this subject does not.
I have spent many hours everyday, writing to anyone I can think of in the media. I am going to start today to write to newspapers.
Remember everyone, everywhere, it is your world we are talking about here.

Diane 16 Oct 2004

Hi, I know from your entries on this site that you are very concerned about this and other stories about the president and why they are not covered by the media.
