(More) Shameless Self-Promotion

robertgomez_kingandhisadvisors.jpg

A number of my woodcuts will be on display in a show called Little Utopias at the Heaven Gallery (1550 N Milwaukee ave., 2 fl, in Chicago's Wicker Park Neighborhood). The show's opening reception is on October 15th at 6pm, in conjunction with the Select 3 Media Festival.

On the night of the opening there's a suggested $10 donation for the festival itself (at 8pm that night). That donation will get you a DVD and a t-shirt. See the site for details.

I've updated my website with scans of images that will be featured in the show.

If you can't make it to this one, I will also be having a solo exhibition, with the same work, out in suburbia (Wheaton, Ill.) in November.

Damn, that's cool stuff!

Wow! Cool stuff-- keep up the self promotion!

This is really nice work. Are you familiar with Barry Moser. He re-illustrates books that laready have famous illustrations (Alice in Wonderland, Oz etc.) with his own woodcuts, and still manages to hold his own.

Well done, Gomez! Thanks for sharing.
