Nine Inch Nails vs. GarageBand
Nine Inch Nails have released one of the songs, "The Hand That Feeds " from the forthcoming With Teeth CD in Apple GarageBand format so everyone can create their own remixes. The 70 meg file is available for download now.

I'm downloading it now. :-)
Okay, so this scandal is 72 hours old. It's still funny!

Gil and Jeff "No-Talent Ass Clown"* Pazen will be DJing at the Apple Store on Michigan Ave. Tues. March 9th at 6pm. So come on down and drool over 23 inch cinema displays and G5 towers while listening to Gil and Paz, "Chicago favorites and Mac aficionados," er do their thang.
* Yet another in a series of attempts to regain Pazen's spot on Google's image search.
'Scuse me while I geek out for a sec...

It has also been mentioned that you can change the image of this floater by replacing two files within the Dock.app package... Replacing them is left as an exercise to the readers.
Hmmmm...
Have we mentioned 'round these parts that Gil is in fact the bomb?

Umm... just watch it. ALL of it.

Asked whether Apple is now mooting a move to x86 chips, Jobs noted that that couldn't happen until the vast majority of its users and - more importantly - its developers have migrated to the Unix-based Mac OS X. That won't have happened until the end of this year, he added.
"Then we'll have options," said Jobs.
On July 17th, Apple premiered a new set of switcher ads including one featuring Ellen Feiss. I couldn't figure out if she had just woken up from a nap or if she was under the influence of some legal or illegal substance(s). So lets have some fun ! I extracted a frame from the video and created a photoshop template with our Ellen. It's all ready to go, including knockout. Be creative and fun.

Is dear little Ellen stoned or just dopey? Apple apparently couldn't tell either and pulled her ad.
Seen the new Apple "Switch" commercial?

The teenager stopped at a nearby display Macintosh, pulled the iPod from his pocket and plugged it into the machine with a FireWire cable. Intrigued, Webb peeped over the kid's shoulder to see him copying Microsoft's new Office for OS X suite, which retails for $500.
Hah!

Apple seems to have abandoned the candy colors that made the first imacs all the rage. Maybe it's because every other computer company has put out their own bad rip-off of the imac look.
"Piracy is not a technological issue. It's a behavior issue...all the encryption schemes that have been developed can also be broken." -- Steve Jobs, talking about copy protection on the new iPod.

"And I hate PCsŃthey are over complicated and unfriendly. While Macs are people friendly and intuitive. ItŐs no coincidence that most creative people use Macs for sound and pictures of all kinds and every two-bit office has a 286" - Nigel Godrich, Radiohead producer.

Radiohead's latest video for "
I Might Be Wrong" was made entirely on a PowerBook running Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Videodelic and Hash Animation Master.
