RobotMonkeyPirate! (beta release!)

Be the first on your block to rock the brand-spankin' new designs from House of Carl. Jeff has sketched up some pretty cool stuff, and we're doing what anyone with a minimal amount of creativity would do: we're puttin 'em on T-shirts, baby!

Pabst Blue Robot

All proceeds from the shop go toward the purchase of beer and surfing lessons. And if you ne'erdowells have any designs or ideas for the future, send 'em in and we'll get them made. (Or more accurately, Spreadshirt* will.) There's lot's more to come. At least that's the fantasy in my head.

Current designs include:

YAAAR!

* We're not talkin' some weak-ass Café Press digital printing on crappy tees. Spreadshirt quality is excellent.

Jay-Z Construction Set

The Jay-Z Construction Set is a toolkit with all of the necessary software and raw materials to create a new remix of Jay-Z's Black Album.

See, rather than fight this trend, I think Jay-Z should come out in support of it. It's like the next logical Information Wants To Be Free-esque step to the Tupac / B.I.G. phenomena of releasing more albums posthumously than they ever did while alive, only Jay-Z ain't dead! He still gets to be one rich mofo with a hot girlfriend!

Everyone, duck and cover, and deny deny deny.

RIAA's comin' to git ya! Karen has unleashed the Unholy RIAA Dogs of Hell upon herself by gettin' all uppity in one of dem mainstream weekly news publications.

Karen Keenan, 26, a copywriter in Chicago, downloads regularly from iTunes Ñ but also from free file sharer LimeWire. "I have the same moral problem with sharing digital music that I have with public libraries Ñ i.e., none," she says.

Hang on, someone's at the door...aaaaahhhh!!!!!

Illinois hideous quarter designs

Just in case there's anyone left in the solar system who doesn't associate Abe Lincoln with Illinois, he's thoughtfully included on the winning quarter design for Illinois...

Graphic Designers should clench their buttocks before clicking the link to all 5 design finalists for the coin. They feature the ugliest font ever created & appear to have been designed by a committee of eighth graders shortly before the 3:00 bell rang.

Connecticuts tree coin remains the best.

iPod: the perfect piracy tool?

The teenager stopped at a nearby display Macintosh, pulled the iPod from his pocket and plugged it into the machine with a FireWire cable. Intrigued, Webb peeped over the kid's shoulder to see him copying Microsoft's new Office for OS X suite, which retails for $500.

Hah!

"Piracy is not a technological issue. It's a behavior issue...all the encryption schemes that have been developed can also be broken." -- Steve Jobs, talking about copy protection on the new iPod.
